Marina Bennett’s newest fall single “Hideaway” will have you feeling blissfully lost in a smooth r&b dreamscape as she asks her apprehensive lover to “come out from hiding” and share their true thoughts and feelings with her. This song explores our deep need for emotional intimacy, connection, and honest communication as she encourages her significant other to brave being vulnerable and to let her become their sanctuary. While listening, it almost feels as though she’s singing directly to you. On a more cosmic scale, Marina embodies the inner voice we all have that calls us to express what it is we truly feel and desire in life, and to stop hiding our truth from the world. While Marina is based out of Vancouver BC, “Hideaway” was co-written and produced by the mega talent Will Evans aka “Lex Echo”, based out of Austin, TX. This song features layers of masterfully written guitar and bass riffs, tight drum grooves, lush synth soundscapes and harmonies that will have you lost in your own secret hideaway to return to again and again with each listen.
